Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…
That’s what Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.
Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

“It’s what happens when two people become one: they no longer only share love. They share all of the pain, heartache, sorrow, and grief.”
This book was, WOW! I laughed and cried and fell in love. This was such an amazing book to read. Colleen Hoover did such an amazing job. after reading the very first part, I was a little concerned that Holder was going to get the short end of the stick and not be a very good guy… I am so glad I was so wrong. The charachters in this book were nothing short of amazing. I loved them all.
Six’s teen rebellion in changing her name to Six instead of Seven made me giggle, the only thing missing for this charachter was the lack of her towards the end of the book. Though she was not the main focal point of the book, she added a great dynamic to Sky’s life and I missed her light-heartedness at the end of the book.
Then there is Sky… Such a strong person with a huge heart to share, but blocked off for years by a wall that was built around it. Only Holder could break down that wall and show her Hope and how amazing she really was.
Sky’s mom, Karen, was another amazing charachter. Although it took a very long time to find out just how amazing she really was, I loved her strength and courageousness, but her food choices really need to go…
Then there was Breckin…he was definately best friend material… who wouldn’t want someone like that to be their BFF! Anyone that would bring me coffee each morning could be my BFF! He was cute in a not so traditional way but I loved the charachter all the more for it.
Now, let’s get to the reason I loved, loved, loved this book… Holder. Wow, just wow! He had his share of drama from the previous year of his life and I think that made his charachter that much stronger. But it was the internal struggle he had been carrying around since early childhood that made him most endeering to me. What an amazing person with a heart as big as the sky. I loved every aspect of him, even the cranky side. But all the different sides of Holder just made him that much more magical and real. He was human and had his own share of demons, but along with Sky, he had never given up Hope. I was totally in love with him from the beginning.
This book had it all and was captivating. I felt for the charachters and cried with them and fell in love with them. It had the perfect amount of everything needed for a great book and I cannot wait for the actual book to add to my collection, as it will certainly be added in no time.
Colleen Hoover did an amazing job and I fell in love with this book and Holder.
