Here’s the deal… I learned a long time ago that sometimes you have to use what you’ve got to make things happen. What I happen to have is a pretty smile, long legs and the ability to make men believe anything I say. Before you get on your high horse and start judging me, can you honestly say you’ve never batted your lashes at some guy for a free drink at the bar? That’s what I thought.
Keep that in mind as I tell you my story of how I took it one step further. My story of lies, deceit, manipulation and love. Yeah, love. Believe me, it fits. Especially, when you factor in Nick and Tucker – one had my heart and the other one wanted it all for himself. Which one? Well, I can’t tell you that. It would defeat the purpose of the story. If I’m going to fill you in about me, Lila Garrison, and my life as a con artist you’re going to need to know all the facts, including the ones about the two guys who made me want to give up the life of fancy clothes, expensive jewelry, fast cars and easy money. Because sometimes, one person can give you something that’s more valuable than all of that.
If you’re still interested, stick around. Just remember, I’m pretty good at convincing people to do what I want, so if by the end of this whole thing you feel worked over, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Wow. Just wow. Give Me Something by Elizabeth Lee was one of those books you don’t put down. I continuously wanted to take a break from this book but convinced myself just one more chapter… the next thing I knew I was at the epilogue and wasn’t sure what I was going to do after reading that. With a big sigh, I continued on. This book has it all from beginning to end.
Nick and Lila have a very unique relationship. Lila is a beautiful con artist. She cons men out of treasure and money and Nick is her back up, helping every step of the way. The kicker is they are both very young. Starting their adventure when they were in their teens they learned a fine art of getting what they needed, not only to survive, but to thrive.
Now in college, Nick and Lila move on to their last job. But Tucker proves to be more than they can handle. Gah! Nick is a master of deceit and he wants to take Tucker for everything he has. Lila just wants to help because she loves Nick with all her heart. But that love is also the reason she wants to stop. She wants the world to be perfect and for her and Nick to have their happy ever after. But what’s one more con for the man you love? If your intentions are good then what is the harm? The only one who will be hurt is the one being manipulated and swindled out of his money, but then again, that is why Nick chose him.
One small glitch… Lila has a heart of gold. She loves Nick but finds herself wanting Tucker too. Will Nick and Lila get their happy ever after or will Lila end up giving in to her feelings for Tucker? You don’t want to miss how this one turns out. It is very touch and go until the very end.
This book had enough suspense in it to keep me reading. But more than the suspense, it had strong characters who all loved in different ways. I was torn between which guy I wanted to win out all the way through the book. But even in the final pages, there is still an element of surprise to that and getting there is so worth it.
The romance, the love, the angst, the suspense and all of the other elements that I thrive on in a book are here! It was an exciting ride and a journey well worth taking. I loved all the characters, though I hated each of them at different points in the book.
Elizabeth Lee does an amazing job with this book and the emotional turmoil of the characters involved. It was a fabulous book and I would definitely recommend it!

When I’m not writing or playing the part of wife and mother, you can find me dancing back-up for Beyonce, singing back-up for Miranda, or sunning myself on the beach with a drink in hand. Here’s the thing about being born and raised in a small town—you have a very vivid imagination! Now, I channel it all to create stories where the girl always ends up with the right guy, first kisses are magical, and a happy ending is just that!
