Blog Tour: Beck (Corps Security #3) by Harper Sloan **GIVEAWAY**

Beck - Blog Tour Button (1)

**Warning** This book is intended for a mature reading

I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self-right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.

I run.

But he just won’t let me go.

The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.

She’s it for me and she knows it.

She’s just too scared to admit it.

**NO cliffhanger, HEA, inter-connected standalones**

Even if you haven’t read the other two books in the Corps Secuirty series by Harper Sloan, you don’t want to go without reading Beck. This book is hot, sexy and emotional. It will pull and tug at your heart until you think it may stop and it will fill it with so much love, your heart may explode. It is a perfect blend between grabbing and squeezing your emotions and fun and playful.

So here’s the thing, I don’t want to talk too much about what this book is about because I don’t want to ruin one moment of this book for you. But if you have met the Corps Security men, you know already that Beck is hot and has a lot going for him. He is strong and compassionate and willing to do anything for the one he falls for. Dee is Izzy’s best friend and would do nearly anything for her friends. She supresses all that is wrong in her own world to protect and care for those she loves the most.

Dee has her own story. She is completely broken and I spent a lot of time in this book crying for her. She hasn’t had an easy life, but she constantly puts up a front for those she is around so they don’t see all that is wrong. But when Beck looks into her eyes that one night at the bar, he sees right through her facade. But that is just he beginning of their story.

Beck sees so much more in Dee when he first meets her and he knows that she is an amazing woman that could rock his world. But Dee will not give her heart to another man. EVER. And though the sex is amazing and the chemistry is definatley there, Dee is not willing to let a man into her life and with a past like her’s, who could blame her. But Beck isn’t going to give up that easy.

Beck sees the hurt and the pain that Dee carries around and he knows he is going to be there for her. No matter what. But Dee is good at one thing when it comes to protecting her heart, running. Can Beck get Dee to see that he is not those other men? He is more than she is willing to let him be? Can Beck hang around long enough to get through to Dee? Will he be able to protect her and keep her safe? Will he be able to prove how much he loves her before she runs to far out of reach?

This book tore me up and I found myself in tears several times throughout the story. But when I wasn’t in tears, I was smiling, laughing and holding my breath. It grabbed my heart and just squeezed it. It was hot, sexy and fun. It was dark and raw. It touched me.  Again, I find myself wanting to hang out with the group of friends in this series. I will say, Beck was a bit darker for me than the first two books in the series but it was still worth every minute of held breath. I think Dee got the short end of the stick every time she moved and it just repeatedly broke me. But Beck… GAH! He was just amazing. Once he set his sights on Dee, that was it. My heart was done for because I knew there was nothing he wouldn’t do to keep her.

I am so glad that this book came into my life and I cannot wait for the next book in this series. Harper Sloan definately has me hooked on these Corps Security men.

about harper sloan

Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed ‘Estrogen Ocean’, much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and blogger, Harper’s passion for reading runs deep. It wasn’t until ‘Axel’ decided to take up residence that she realized her true calling.

She started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn’t take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
