FIRST IN A NEW SERIES

In the new Mastered series by New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James, a woman’s desire to shatter her inhibitions leaves her unprepared for where that erotic journey will take her….

Former small-town girl Amery Hardwick is living her dream as a graphic designer in Denver, Colorado. She’s focused on building her business, which leaves little time for dating—not that she needs a romantic entanglement to fulfill her. When her friend signs up for a self-defense class as part of her recovery after an attack, Amery joins her for support. That’s where she meets him.

Ronin Black, owner of the dojo, is so drawn to Amery that he takes over her training—in public and in private. The enigmatic Ronin pushes Amery’s boundaries from the start, and with each new tryst, Amery becomes addicted to the pleasure and to him. But when Amery senses Ronin is hiding something, she questions her total trust in him, despite the undeniable thrill of his possession….

STEPHANIE: ★★★★★

I know I have mentioned several times this year, that I am loving the books I have read. Bound is absolutely no exception! It is fabulously written and the characters are amazing! You can’t help but fall head over heals in love with Ronin… and the ending… I will say, I need more NOW!

Amery has a great life and great job as a graphic designer, owning her own business. When Amery’s one employee, Molly, is attacked Amery decides that she is going to accompany her to self defense classes so Molly feels more confident. But when they get to the dojo, they will not allow Amery to sit on the sidelines. If she is going to be there, she must be enrolled in the class. Completely thrown off by this, she agrees and joins the class. But the first class proves to be a big test for Amery. That’s when everything in her world changes.

The owner of the dojo is Ronin and holy smokes, he is one amazing man. He brings out a feisty side of Amery that even she wasn’t sure existed. He pushes her to succeed and learn in class. But Ronin becomes so much more in Emery’s life. He pushes her boundaries in every aspect, including behind the closed doors of his apartment and hers. Teaching and dominating her in every way.

Her friends try and warn her against getting too involved. They have heard too many stories and though Emery knows there is a lot he keeps hidden, she still gives everything to him. But what happens when he is completely revealed to her? Oh my goodness…

This book just grabbed me. It pushes the boundaries and shows an entirely different side of a D/s relationship. It was thrilling and exciting and romantic and full of love and tenderness as well. This book was everything I wasn’t expecting. But I couldn’t get enough of it. And the ending just got to me in the worst way. There were times I was yelling at the book, there were times I was holding it close to my heart. The writing was flawless and told a great story. The characters stuck with me long after closing the book. This book was amazing and so worth the read. A five-star adult read and so worth every minute! I loved it! I cannot wait for the next book!
