Disclaimer from Bradi St. James
Alluring Ties is NOT a full length novel, but is a companion novella to the Bayou Stix series.
It is recommended to be read in this order:
Alluring Turmoil, Book 1 Bayou Stix
Alluring Seduction, Book 2 Bayou Stix
Alluring Ties, Book 2.5 Bayou Stix
There are some situations which are not for everyone included in this novella: cheating, male/male romance and sex, and like all of Skye’s books, explicit language and hot ass sex.
If you can’t handle it, don’t read it. It’s that simple. But if you want to know more about myself and Erik, then turn the page and get started!
Alluring Ties is a companion novella to the Bayou Stix series. It’s Book 2.5 Bayou Stix. In Alluring Turmoil, we were introduced to Lexi Sloane’s two best friends, Bradi and Erik. Alluring Ties will take you on a journey into their pasts and bring you to their present.
Bradi St. James is a force to be reckoned with. She’s strong, independent, and has something to prove. All of her life, she’s watched the world around her and is determined to have a different fate from what she’s grown up with. The path you’ve always believed to be the right path, may not be your destiny after all
Erik Jenson is a kind man. A nurturer and the kind of friend everyone wants to have. Growing up surrounded by friends and family who support him, he’s a confident man. The choices he must make and the chances he must take as he lives and grows make him the strong, loving man he becomes.
Alluring Ties contains explicit sex, including some male/male, strong language and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 or anyone who does not like M/M romance.
Alluring Ties is a nice little read. It is a photobook into the lives of Lexi’s friends. Who they are and things in the past that have made them that way. We get the glimpse of these characters through scenes in their own lives. We spend time with Erik and the boys that have hurt him and healed him. We watch Bradi grow from a girl into a woman, learning that though she has a past, she isn’t her past.
These characters are fun and flirty and most importantly, they are there for each other. The know each other inside and out and what they each need at any given moment. They know who they are and what they want and they know that there is nothing more important than friendship and love.
This is a quick little read as it is a companion novella to the Bayou Stix series. But it is a fun read. I enjoyed this book because it was like looking at a photo album and each picture telling its own story and the sum of all those little stories is two people and two friends and how they got to where they are and major events in their lives that have changed so much in the past seven years.
As I have discovered with most novellas, that I enjoy it being a quick read, I also find that the biggest distraction. I don’t want these little books to end. They usually have the biggest stories in the fewest pages and I can never get enough of them. This is an amazing novella and I only wanted more!
