Review: Two For One by Ann B. Harrison

Two For One Title Banner

Nothing is going Lizzie’s way. Her sex life is unsatisfying, her job sucks and she has more debt than she needs thanks to her loser brother. Against her better judgment, she lets her best friend sign her up to be auctioned off at a high-rolling venue called the Club. Agreeing to a weekend of adventurous sex with a stranger is one thing, but being bought by the brothers who own the Club means Lizzie is up for a weekend beyond her wildest fantasies.
Ryan and Lizzie hit it off, in bed and out, but it’s his quiet brother, Trace, that has her heart pounding and her panties in a twist. But is Lizzie what Trace needs? Having been burned before, will he take a chance on what his heart is telling him or trust his instincts and send her home after their weekend is over?

Lizzie is not going through a good thing right now. Her boyfriend, and I use the term loosely, is an ass and treats her like crap. Financially she is barely keeping her head above water and with her brother, her financial situation just seems to have gotten even worse. Struggling with what to do with her life, she is in a job she doesn’t like, in a relationship that is even worse and in a financial bind that just makes it awful, she must decide where to go and what to do.

When her best friend suggests being part of the auction at the high end gentleman’s club she works for, Lizzie thinks the opportunity could provide her with the quick cash she needs to help her current situation. But she struggles with the thought that this could ultimately make her a prostitute. Putting those feelings aside, it is one weekend with one guy and it just make her break out of her shell… she decides to go for it. But what she wasn’t expecting was a bid that large and instead of one guy, two…and they are brothers…That’s just the beginning of this amazingly steamy read.

When I first started reading this book, I though I wasn’t going to think it was awesome. I mean she is selling herself for a weekend. But this book was about so much more than that and I loved the journey the book took me on. I knew which brother my heart was leaning to and I knew which brother could ultimately break my heart. But in the end, it is one weekend for Lizzie. She gets to discover who she is inside and out and enjoy every moment of it, and that she certainly does.

The weekend adventure was so much more than just sex, Lizzie really took a good look at her life and what she wanted out of it and it was so much more than she had now. With Trace and Ryan she found a way to help discover what she wanted both in the bedroom and out of it. This is a hot read and steamy to say the least. It was fun, flirty, dark and dirty. I enjoyed the story and I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Ann B. Harrison has captured my attention with this book and I couldn’t put it down. From beginning to end I was lost in the pages. I loved the characters and the story line and just kept reading to find out what was going to happen next. There was no cliffhanger ending, but I did feel like there was so much more of the story still waiting to be told.

I swear I was born with a book in my hand and that is how I spent most of my childhood. That was fine until I got older and the voices in my head demanded to be heard and I started to write.
The voices are no quieter but there are less of them.
