Review: Sweet Addiction by Jessica Daniels

Wedding hookups never amount to anything.

Those who partake in this wicked little activity know the rules. Get in. Get laid. Get out. There’s no expectation of a relationship. It is what it is.

Dylan Sparks knows the rules. She’s familiar with the protocol. And she engages in the best sex of her life with a complete stranger at her ex-boyfriend’s wedding.

Reese Carroll doesn’t care about the rules. He wants more than just one night with Dylan. And he’s too addicting to pass up.

Sweet Addiction is the story of one girl’s struggle to keep things casual, and one boy’s desire to never let her go.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! The first thing that stood out in this book is that the flaws of the characters have nothing to do with dark seedy pasts. The have nothing to do with torment or evil… a few bad relationships and some miscommunication… But what really captured me in this story is the two main characters.

Dylan is not looking for a relationship. Her last one didn’t work out so well. He was an ass and he was dumb enough to cheat on her… so at HIS wedding, she is going to dare to do something bold. Something she has never done before. She is going to have amazing wedding sex. Nothing personal, no attachments and she gets to go home at the end of the evening and live her life. Only problem… the guy who she is going to have that amazing sex with… whew!

Reese, the man of the hour, is a highly successful business man with looks to swoon over (listen, those are Dylan’s words, not mine!). He seems to have it all. But he is not the settle down and marry a girl kind of guy. He likes hooking up, getting what he needs and when she gets clingy, she must go. But attending a wedding, he had no idea what or who was going to fall into his lap, I mean, life. And so it begins…

Meaningless sex in the bathroom of a wedding. That’s all this is going to be. The chemistry is there, the timing is right and she is the woman. But after probably the most amazing sex in the world between these two, everything seems to shift. He freaks out, she freaks out. Both for different reasons. And what Dylan finds out after her one amazing moment of sex, he is nothing but a cheating ass. Well… that’s not exactly true. But it is the beginning…

When being casual in the sex department is put at risk by actual feelings, everything is going to shift. Everything will change. Everything and you know what… with these two, it is so worth every torturios minute!

I love each and every one of the characters in this book, they made me just smile like crazy. The best of friends in the world and the new loves of their lives. They just had me going. They made me laugh. And I don’t mean in a that’s cute kind of way. The nicknames they have for eachother just make me smile too… There is so much in all of these characters that I could either relate to or want to cling to, and heck, Reese… I could just cling to him for no apparent reason, but I would be too afraid that Dylan would shank me! I love the witty banter and the way they all support and care for each other.

Jessica Daniels takes steam to an entirely different level with this book because there is so much of an emotional connection between the pages. I just want more and more of the characters and the story. So even though I thought it ended too soon and I could use a lot more of these two, I am so happy for what I have read! This book is fun, sexy and full of life and I loved every last word!

This book is hot, steamy, passionate and so full of energy. It has a great story woven between the sheets and it just made my heart beat a little bit quicker.
