New Release & Blog Tour: Logan’s Story AND Sand & Clay by Sarah Robinson

In this prequel novella Logan Clay is a dreamy, starving artist working multiple jobs to support his ailing mother and unemployed father, all while pursuing his dream of becoming a famous musician.
When luck shines on him, it looks like he might finally get the big break that he has been waiting for- that is until he meets Gina.
The daughter of a record label executive, Gina Vile has the potential to make all of Logan’s dreams come true or destroy any chance he will ever have. Can fame and love go hand in hand?

Logan Clay is beautiful. He wants nothing more than to be a musician. But there is so much in his way. He is the income supporting his parents. But he has never resented his parents for his predicament. He has always supported them. His father is unable to work because he is taking care of his mom. His mom was injured in an accident many years before. Logan has never resented his parents, he loves them. He will always be there when they need him.
But now, Logan has been given an opportunity he can’t pass up, but in the middle of this opportunity he meets Gina. On top of finally getting his dream opportunity, Logan’s mom’s health begins to deteriorate. Torn in so many directions, Logan must decide if the career is more important than taking care of his family and being with them. He must decide if the heat between him and Gina is worth taking a chance on… He must decide it all and there isn’t a lot of time to do it.
This is a great prequel to Sand & Clay. It is a great insight into Logan Clay. If you are looking for a quick read, this will definitely be right up your alley. I will say I was a little surprised that at one point in the book, tears formed in my eyes. That typically doesn’t happen when the story is a prequel or a quick read. But there is one moment in this book that my heart swelled and I felt this wave of emotions cross over me. It was beautiful and touching.
With all that said, the one downside to the story was the relationship between Logan and Gina. Though it provides insight into Sand & Clay, there wasn’t really a lot of relationship development between the two of them. I didn’t really understand the love factor. We didn’t watch the relationship blossom so when the grand gesture happened it felt a little strange to me. Please do not misunderstand, I really enjoyed this short read, but I would have liked a little more development with the relationship in the story.
I did adore the heck out of Logan. He was such a stand up guy when it came to his relationship with his parents and protecting their futures as much as his own.
Because this is a quick read, I don’t want to say too much more than I already have, but if you are thinking about a quick read, I would definitely recommend Logan’s Story knowing that you are also going to want to read Sand & Clay to get the rest of the story.

Young New York City socialite Caroline Sanders is perfectly satisfied with her life until the brooding rock star Logan Clay tramples all over her illusions and shows her just how much she has been missing.
There are a million reasons why they shouldn’t be together and their timing couldn’t possibly be worse. Nothing goes according to plan and Logan must choose between Caroline or his career. Caroline must choose between this newly found love or the life her parents had made for her.
As much as they fight their true feelings, fate keeps throwing them back into each other’s lives. Can they find a way to be together when they have every reason to run in opposite directions? Happy endings might not be for everyone.

Logan and Caroline shouldn’t be together. But everything just keeps pushing them back together to be near one another. But it can’t happen. Tough decisions must be made and letting go is definitely going to have to happen. But who’s letting who go? Who will make the sacrifice? Can Logan and Caroline find their way in to a happily ever after or will the tolls of life be the ultimate demise of them?
But wait… when Logan and Caroline met, they didn’t even like each other. Logan was famous… how could she not know who he is? And Caroline thought he was an ass. But the attraction was there. They knew somewhere deep inside there was a fire burning. But this book was about choices and they weren’t little choices.
I though it was a bit too dramatic for what it was. Her parents weren’t the worst parents in the world and really Logan just needed to grow a pair if he wanted Caroline as much as he did. But it was a good story.
Sand and Clay was fun and flirty. It was frustrating and touching. I wanted these two to have a happily ever after but there was so much standing in their way. Sarah Robinson has a way of grabbing your attention, pulling you in and not letting go. I wanted more of this story. It is well written and a great read.
