SYNOPSIS

Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his Pops got them into was difficult.

Until he meets Kadence.

Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student’s father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious and dangerously sexy and for some reason, Kadence can’t seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won’t give in without a fight.

The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce. A man that wants what he wants and a woman that will fight him every step of the way.

REVIEW

Stephanie: ★★★★

MC books are fairly new to me. I had never really thought about them being what I wanted to read. But this one makes me want to read more of them. I loved the connection between the characters and dangerous and emotional battle that had to be fought to the end of this one. High angst, high drama and intense passion…. this book was a handful of delicious men on motorcycles!
Kadence is a school teacher who is just now gaining control of her life again after everything that happened. The fire nearly killed her and long with the flames it took something from her that she has never quite gotten back. But she is a strong independent woman that is not going to be put in a position that she can’t handle again. She loves her job and she has a lot of appreciation for her students. So when one of those kids starts having a bit of a behavior issue, she knows she is going to have to get the parents involved.
What she doesn’t expect is for Nix to walk through the door. She was expecting to see the child’s mom and walking in is his dad… oh and his dad… Z’s dad is hot in all his biker glory. There is something about him that just grabs Kadence’s attention in a big way. She can’t stop staring and when they shake hands all bets are off for Kadence when her head stops thinking and her body takes over.
These two have a serious spark and chemistry but they are both stubborn and feisty. The more he says, the more she fights, the more turned on they both get. It is a hot read and a great story. I love the wit and feistiness between the two of them and the passion and chemistry is hot.
I will be honest, I didn’t put this book down. I wanted to know the connection to Kadence’s ex, I wanted to know if the Z was going to be ok despite his familial issues… I wanted Kadence and NIx to survive it all and come out stronger on the other side of all the crap. This MC club is a good one, they have worked hard to clean up their image. But there is always a shadow being cast on them because they are a MC.  That was just one more thing to love about this book.
And the ending just melted my heart. So perfect. This book is fabulous and a great read!
EXCERPT

“Thanks.” Taking a sip, I look around one more time. “Nice house.” I motion around me.

“Thanks,” he says, turning back to the grill. I take a seat, feeling a little out of my element in his house.

“So,” I begin, trying to fill the silence between us. If we aren’t fighting or being smartasses to each other, it seems we don’t have much to say.

“Just relax, Kadence. I’m not gonna rip your clothes off just yet.” And we’re back.

“Yeah, yeah, Casanova, keep it in your pants. You aren’t getting into mine.” I watch as he looks at me, before walking forward like a predator stalking his prey. He stops short of getting in my space, but his tall frame standing over me communicates his formidable power.

“Kadence, don’t lie. You and I both know that what’s in those pants is aching for my cock.” The ache was gone, but with one sentence, his deep gravelly voice has me building an itch I know he could scratch.

“You’re good, you know that?”

“Kadence, I’m more than good.” I roll my eyes at him. Seriously, the man has it bad for himself.

“Tell me honestly, does it work?” I ask, genuinely concerned. I’m hoping I’m not the only fool falling for his dirty words. ‘Cause then I really would need to talk to my vagina.

“I don’t know, Kadence. Are your panties wet?” he responds, and this time I laugh out loud. He seriously must have taken classes or something.

“Geez, Phoenix, cut the bullshit, would you? Your dirty mouth might make some girls wet between the legs, but it’s not the key to getting between mine. You need to work harder than that,” I lie, standing from my chair and taking one step into his space. The truth is his dirty words are wearing me down, and if he keeps talking about wet pussies, I’m going to pull my pants down and demand he show mine some attention.

What am I saying? Am I really considering having sex with this man? This crass, dirty, sexy man who pushes my buttons, who irritates me while at the same time manages to turn me on? Of course I am. Why else would I get on his bike?
