Every woman wants me–except the one I sing for.

Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.

But when you love a girl, you don’t leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.

So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?

Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.

When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I’m a god–but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl’s not happy to see me.

Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that’s her — Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she’s out for my blood.

That’s alright.

Let her come at me. Because I’m out for her heart and, this time, there’s no way she can stop me.

 Stephanie’s Review

Katy Evans has done something amazing with this book an I quickly became addicted to McKenna and Pandora’s story.  I loved each moment of their story. The torture and torment they experienced all revolved around a criminal and the DA. The painful reminder of the past they both left behind, resurfacing with the daily headline in the paper. The hurt, the tears all resurface… but can the bridge the gap of six years? Can they make things right after all this time?

McKenna is a heart throb on the stage. His band’s concerts sell out instantly and his number one hit was about the one girl that stole his heart six years ago. The one girl he was never good enough for, the one girl he walked away from. The one girl he would give anything to have back in his arms. The one girl suddenly throwing tomatoes and eggs at him. What the hell?

That’s right, Pandora is a woman scorned and you don’t wan to mess with her. She is finally getting her two cents in about him walking away. About the pain and the hurt she felt. About all that he was willing to walk away from. He promised her forever, but walked away when the opportunity arose. But everything else that happened all come down to this one moment where she is making it clear how much she was hurt.

But her moment to make it clear that he hurt her and everything changes. A whirlwind event takes place and everyone has a price. Now she is on the road with McKenna and his band and everything as she knows it is about to change.

My heart was torn between these two characters throughout the book. In one moment I though there was no way that McKenna ever deserved Pandora and in the next I just wanted her to forgive their past and embrace what the two of them could be now and in the future. I had a very love-hate relationship with both of them. But their story… it stole my heart. I love a bad boy rocker as much as anyone, but when the chemistry is so strong between two people, my heart doesn’t care what he does for a living and McKenna just stole my heart in a beat and I couldn’t get enough.

The emotional journey from love to hate and back to love. Beautifully written and a bit emotionally draining for the characters, this book was hard to put down and impossible to forget! I loved it and give it five fabulous stars!
