Review: Hate F*@k (part one) by Ainsley Booth

Warning: This is just the start. This doesn’t end well. And it’s going to get much worse before it ever gets better.

Cole:
I push her buttons. I want to push them in the good way. Dirty, up-against-the-wall, my-hand-in-her-pants kind of way.
But that’s not possible, because I’m dark and she’s light, and we both know it.
So I push her buttons in the bad way, making her hate me.

Hailey:
If a genie granted me three wishes, I’d ask for Cole Parker to never look at me again, that I’d forget the dark promise in his eyes, and that just once, before he vanished from my life completely, that he’d push me up against a wall and fuck me.
Then I’d go wash my mouth out with soap.

Review

This book is a head trip. First of all, I am not going to lie, I wanted to read this book because of the title. Any author with balls enough to title a book that, is gonna get me to read it. So there is that… then the first thing I read when I opened this book, “Warning: This is just the start. This doesn’t end well. And it’s going to get much worse before it ever gets better.” Sold. I have read a lot of disclaimers and book titles in my life… but this one just stood out for me from the very beginning.

Oh, but that is just the tip of the iceberg where this book is concerned. You can’t help but love Cole, you can’t. He is strong, he is powerful and he is definitely a man who knows what he wants. He wants to stay away from Hailey. His job won’t let him. But there is just something about her that he cannot resist. Maybe it’s her snark, maybe it’s her stubbornness, maybe it is her unusual decoration in the middle of her living room… or maybe, just maybe, it is her heart.

Hailey has gone against everything her family has stood for. They are not normal and prove time and time again that they live in this world where she knows she doesn’t belong. It is a warped world filled with corruption and scandal. She wants to be nowhere near any of that. But time and time again, she is thrown into the public spotlight for just being related to them. She hasn’t had an videos of her sitting under the desk of her senator or spanking the president or anything else. She hasn’t had an affair. She works hard for her money and knows what she wants out of life, the lifestyle her family leads is not it. It seems the only thing she has gotten out of this entire fiasco that is her family is Cole.

But she doesn’t want him. He makes her blood boil, he makes her angry and frustrated because she knows he was hired to take care of her family’s issues. But… he is hot. I wasn’t kidding when I said he makes her blood boil. She hates him… but that doesn’t mean she finds him repulsive. She wants more of his anger and frustration and non-conformist attitude.

He wants her beneath him, bent over the furniture, on her knees… anyway he can get her. He knows he needs to stay away from her. The only thing he knows for sure is that he is not a good person. She cares and he can’t.

And then the ending of the book hits…. your hard, upside the head and you are just standing there in the shirt he left at your place… what?!?! You were warned before you opened the book and started reading… but this book will leave you panting, drooling and out of breath. It will leave you frustrated and angry and wanting more.

That book I wanted to read because the title was intriguing… holy hell… now I just want the next book. Not only because I need more Cole, but because I need to know how the sh!t goes down! This is intense and definitely left me wanting more. Just more… of everything…

Well played author Ainsley Booth… well played.
