Wait For Morning by Nicole Edwards: Review and Blog Tour

Welcome to Sniper 1 Security.  Wait for Morning is the first in a new series called Sniper 1 Security. This series will focus around two families that are in the private security business. This book is different for Nicole as it’s the first for her in the romantic suspense genre. For readers, they will find the normal Nicole Edwards style of writing, with a nice mixture of excitement, suspense and her erotic touches where needed. For the die-hard Nicole Edwards fans, they will see a bit less of the erotic, but when it’s present it will set your e-reader on fire!

Trace Kogan will go to any length to protect those who need protecting. That is the business he is in; the business his father, Casper Kogan, started with Bryce Trexler more than thirty-five years ago. Trace spends day and night eliminating threats to clients, so when the danger hits too close to home, he won’t let anything come between him and the woman who desperately needs his help.

His fear… the physical reaction he has to Marissa may pose a bigger danger than the ghost that they find themselves up against.

Marissa Trexler has spent the last twelve months of her life in hiding, tucked away in one safe house after another for her own protection. The threat to her is real even if the reason is still unknown. Strangely, whoever is after her seems to find her no matter where she goes, leading her family to believe it’s an inside job.

So when the decision is made that Trace will provide personal protection, she can’t say no, even if being close to him adds another level of danger… and this one is to her heart.

She has wanted him since she was a teenager. He has wanted her just as long, but the need to protect her is even greater. He has to focus on that to keep her out of trouble. He would rather ignore his feelings for her and keep her out of harms way than to risk it all and lose everything.
But the big question of the hour is why is Marissa in so much trouble? Who is after her and what do they want? Trace and the rest of the Sniper 1 family are going to find out no matter what it takes. Now if they could just get Marissa to talk and tell them what she know.
Marissa knows the details. if she tells any of the Sniper 1 family, she could be putting their lives at risk more than they already are and for what? To save her?
Trace isn’t just doing a job at this point by protecting Marissa. It goes so much deeper than that and this is the biggest test of his restraint ever. He has done so good with it and though it is all hanging on by a thread. He is struggling keeping her safe and keeping himself sane.
When their worlds are forced to collide even more, all bets are off. Will Trace and Marissa finally admit to one another how they feel and why Trace is so bent on being the one to protect her? Will the find the person that wants her dead? Can they do this all and find happiness in the end or will the best laid plans go all wrong?
I loved the angst and suspense in this book. But more than that, I love the angst between the two characters. Blatantly obvious to everyone else in their lives, but they don’t see the feelings that are right in front of them. Which I have to admit, made me giggle every time someone pointed it out. But even more when they outright said something to one of them.
The suspenseful storyline was great and kept me wanting to know more. Though it led to some confusion for me where the characters were concerned, the twist and turns and touches cleared it all up. I loved the chemistry between Marissa and Trace. I hated that neither would act on it out of fear or protection or whatever, they had the chemistry and it was hot.
My overall opinion of the book is that it is well written, has a ton of angst and drama and a powerful attraction. I really enjoyed it. It was suspenseful and kept me reading straight through to the end.
