 REVIEW

This book was a treat! I fell in love with Gunner immediately. But more than that, I fell in love with Indie. It had everything. Romance, suspense, heat, passion and a kindness and warmth about it that just captivated me. I wanted more of the story once it ended and I wanted more of Gunner and Indie.
She moved to Salvation to get away from her past, to start over and move beyond the memories. What she didn’t know was that accidently bumping into someone in a grocery store would change everything in her world. She need to escape her past.
He needed to… well, I am not sure what Gunner needed, but after that one trip to the grocery store, I knew just as well as he did that all bets were off. There would be no more wife for the nights, there would be no more avoiding relationships and no more hiding his heart.
These two seem so opposite when you first meet the individually, but the kindness and compassion they have for one another is very sticky sweet. They have this draw and this chemistry that grabs you and touches you deep down.
Of course, the book isn’t all rainbows and butterflies and there is drama and it always happens, the past sneaks back in and sucker punches you… but the recovery from the past seems to make all the hard times bearable some how.
She is everything he never knew he wanted. He is everything she always thought was too good to be true. But the beauty of it, this is the way it was meant to happen.
Now let me tell you, insta-love is a bit much at times, but I truly believe when you know you know and this is one of those stories that you just know. Everyone knows and it is pure sugar and I couldn’t get enough of Gunner and Avery.  They both deserved their happy ever after. Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that steal your breath away. This entire book was that moment.
Gunner just stole my heart immediately. His kindness and his compassion shows that there are gentlemen out there who live for their women, to please them and make them happy. Now, he’s not perfect, because what kind of story would that be? But what he does for Indie is pure perfection.
Yes, there is plenty of drama and suspenseful moments in this book, but at the heart of it is this amazing couple who were just meant for one another. I loved this book.
